SR engine swap into an auto

does anyone know how much it would cost to put in a sr20det and at the same time convert it from auto to manual? the thing is that i found a 240 in excellent shape, but it is in automatic, but i figured a sr20 swap would fix that. also, any one know any good shops to do the swap in chicago?

if you buy a front clip, chances are it will have everything you need for the swap and gearbox conversion. If you opt to just buy an engine set, you will need to get all the 5spd accessories somewhere else (junkyard, ebay, online forums)

srswap.com is a decent site as far as equipped engines and parts go... there's plenty of others that sell clips and parts too

if it was over here in Jeresy it'ed run you $3500 +/- 200-300 depending on use of all stock parts or upgrades. my shop charged me $425 for my auto to manual conversion on my CA, my car is still in the shop, but my bill is about $3350 but i got a upgraded FMIC.

And the shop is excelent for quality, they replace the whole pedle set, put in the resivor for the fluid, they extened my harnesses to keep my gauges and my HUD working.
