I have a 93 240sx and am in the process of doing a swap. The stock KA a/c compressor off of the motor i pulled is f***ed and can no longer be used. My motorset came with the s13 sr20det a/c compressor. I am wondering if the only modification needed is to the a/c line coming off of the firewall.

Does the sr compressor use r134a or r12? How hard is it to get the sr a/c compressor working...i need it because i live in florida and summer is now here. Am i better off buying a KA compressor...i'd rather just leave the sr compressor on the motor and not have to hunt down a ka compressor. Anyone have working a/c in an s13 w/ sr swap??? Please point me in the right direction...i have tried using search and seem to have hit a dead end.

I need to know how i can keep the sr compressor and get it to work properly. I need some cold air in hot florida! Please help
