SR won't start

Ok just finish the swap and when i went to crank it it wouldn't stay on. It turns on for about 6 seconds then shuts off. Also one of my intercooler pipes is not hook up to the intercooler, could that be the problem?

Well I am not there to see or hear what you have, but not having all the IC piping could be the place to start. So you said it will run for a short time then die. How is it running when it does fire over???

Check the timing, or check the firing order and make sure your spark plugs are on the distributor cap in the correct order, also check for a vacuum leak. I could be wrong, becuz i'm an idiot when it comes to sr20s , but I have worked on many other cars, and some of this were reasons why the car(s) wouldn't stay on.

If it sounds good for the time it is running then just dies out, then like HyJynx said could be in the wiring but also could be fuel or vacume. This is tough to diagnose over the net. When the car dies check that you still have power where you should and if you can read the fuel pressure monitor that as well. So have you hooked up your IC piping yet??? It still could be that.

Ok this is my first engine swap, all i've ever done to a car is change my own oil I checked again and the 3 vacuum line from my throttle body are not hooked up, also i'm missing a smell piece of pipe that connects the large hose from my throttle body to the stock intercooler. I was told not having those hooked up would not cause the car to crank up and stay on.

Were they wrong?

The car will crank but most likely thats the prob. get the IC hooked up, then plug the bottom vac. line now for the top two plug one (if you have the larger one if you have the stock sidemount) now the one left can go go to the fuel reg. and a T can be put in for the boost gauge. Now the vac line that comes out the IC piping running in front the radiator run to the waste gate and BOV or you can run a bunch of more hose in another configuration but the all need hooked up or plugged. Try that.
