what is the most that the botom of an sr20 can handle with out detonating i know 15 is max with stock turbo but im looking to find out internals.

no, the bottom end can handle more than that. its the turbo that loses efficency after 15psi. do a search. its been covered like a million times. and you would detonate due to running lean or timing.
