sr20det or ka24de(t) for me?

Okay I don't own a 240sx yet but once I get my Altima paid off I want to get a convertible S13 91-94. I don't want crazy hp numbers just for it to be decently fast, have a nice body kit, rims, interior, suspention, etc. I'd like to have 200-250 rwhp. So my question is what would be better for me to do...upgrade the KA with turbo/bolt-ons or swap for an SR? I know this question has been asked a billion times but I can't figure out which route would be better in this situation. If I were to get an SR I'd probably go with the S14 blacktop because its has VTC and I wouldn't be doing much modding to it other than intake and exhaust. I do love the KA in my Altima, although it is slow, it sounds great to me with my Injen intake.

So which would be better?

200-250 HP?

Throw in an RB..and call it a day.

Leave it stock. It'll give you that much HP..Plus you can still put in boost controller.

There's a bit more to swapping in an RB than an SR though right? The rb25 or 26 would ned a new driveshaft, can you just order those or would you need to get a custom one made? And thr RB will need motor mounts plus a few other things. I don't want to spend more than like 5 grand on just the motor. Like I said I'd like to get a convertible and make it look great, drive good and sound good. I guess the RB20 would be better than an SR20. Parts are rarer though for the RB series.

Okay lets say I break down and get an RB25DET.....what would it cost to do the swap with intake, header, exhaust, boost controller. I have friends that I can get to helping me with the swap as long as we have everything we need.

It just seems like:
RB swap = huge headache
SR swap = regular headache
increase KA power = minimal headache

if you put in a stock RB20 with a boost controller you would be happy with it, and I think that would be much easier than building a ka-t that you could drive without worrying if it was gonna blow up. you can really save money and get an RB20 automatic (since the convertibles were all autos anyway) and it would be fun, cheap, and kinda like a sleeper, cause nobody will notice anything if its still auto. Too bad you dont live up here I could do a full RB swap on you car for about $2500 INLCUDING THE MOTOR!
