SR20DET suff going wrong, what could it be

SR20DET suff going wrong, what could it be

I did the SR20DET (red top) swap and im having some problems with it....First when im driving and I go to push in the clutch to stop, the car dies most of the time, second I have a lot of back firing. last I have a lot of (I cant spell it I don’t think) ''detonation'' in second at about 6 and in third after 55 and I haven’t stayed on it after that, cuz I don’t want S*** to blow.....??????? What should I do I need help

Check your timing. That could be your problem

doesnt detonation have something to do with the knock sensor?

as for the misfiring...my ca was doing a lot of that on accel...one of the cylinders werent firing...i changed out the coils and that was a wrap

check ur coilpacks and plugs, if your fuel is not being burnded sufficiently than it could cause the car to back fire.

mine was doing somehting similar, and it turned out to be the coolant temp sensor, i guess the car never thought it warmed up so it was dumping too much fuel into it.

but mine wouldnt start after it cut off, until it cooled down alot.

mine will also turned off it i dont let the gear run down a little before pushing in on the clutch, i was told it was something to do with the turbo pushing in air that was unaccounted for by the MAF, i dunno about that though
