'91-'94 S13 redtop/blacktop is the same. '96+ blacktop has minor changes through out the motor, biggest change though was just the ecu.

If you're not doing the swap yourself there is absolutely no benefit to you to get a full clip.

if u just get the engine set..u will still need a lot more parts to get it up and running, ie wiring harness, gauge cluster(if u want), ecu. I would just really rather go for a front clip cus theres a 99% chance that its got evrything u will need for the swap, even if u dont do the front conversion.

He's having the swap done for him. If there are parts missing, the shop will have to come up with them before they get paid for a complete job.

If he were doing the swap himself the clip would probably be worth the money just to protect the oil pan. Since he's not and he gets a warranty, it's really none of his concern how the motor is packaged.

i really appreciate everything yall tellin me.. yeah i'm gettin it done .. and i asked him specificly if that 2600 was for the price of me to drive out of the shop and he said if all you want is the swap for 2600 then thats all it cost and you will drive out of here... but i added the front mount ,fuel pump and all that .. they know alot .. showed me a book with other sr20's they had done.. and told me to come watch them race.. so i think they really know and dont just show they cars they actually run them.. get what i mean.. like they back up their stuff at the track.. but anyways.. i think i'll be ok.. plus he said i can go over and watch and help.. just so that i'm familiar with the engine.. since i dont know crap about it .. anyways peaceeee pimps and playas

Tell me if I'm wrong, but when you buy a front clip (assuming you're going to do an sr20det) you get the fenders and headlights and everything you would need to do the headlight conversion (S13)? Because if I were to do a swap like that, I might choose the sr20 as opposed to the rb20 just because of the fact that you get the headlight conversion. But if you don't get the all the parts to do a headlight conversion, I would rather go with the rb. So tell if I'm wrong. Thanks

Clips are hit or miss as to the body parts they come with. Usually the fenders, if still on the clip, will be damaged from strapping the clip to the pallet it's shipped on.

yea it would be rare to get the full headlights, fenders and such. u might be able to get the lights and fenders, but not in the greatest condition. My RB clip just came with the fenders, and part of the headlights The fenders are in bad condition to0.

So where would you go to get the fenders, lights, and bumper to do the silvia front end conversion. I think my dream would be to have an rb20 swap and the s13 front end conv. with a skyline style front aftermarket bumber and those cool projector lights that a lot of the s13 conv. have. But yeah, the real question is where would you go about getting the parts?
