Considering one for it's better flow and if nothing else some weight loss.

 

The quality looks pretty damn good, never heard of anyone using them though

 

It's kinda a new item they were just listing them for maybe a month now. I had one of their manifolds on my honda, the pipes were fine but the flanges aren't stainless but coated steel, and were poorly stamped/welded to the pipe. The tubes looked good like someone actually knew how to weld on them. Maybe I'll make my own-but where to get the flange?

 

From what I have heard, SS Autochrome does a horrible job of welding their headers. If it's in good quality and wont start falling apart on you, then I would highly sugest it. The stock exhaust manifold does a horrible job of letting the gas escape.

 

Yeah that's my experience too, the one in the photo looks good the one you get looks like a blind man stick welded it. Maybe I can make my own if the flange isn't too complicated, I've clamped a piece of flat bar to the stock mani's before and used that as the template to make my own. Anybody interested in a custom manifold I can have all the parts laser cut in Qty's of 10 or more.

let's just say the "bling bling" factor mean nothing. stay away from those ssautochrome crap. you get what you paid for.

 

I'm not a "bling bling" guy thank you. Burgandy coupe with gunmetal RP02's, no Les Schlob fat chrome here The tubular manifolds help alot, but have to have some good flanges and thick tubes or they blow gaskets and crack.
