Swap pricing - is this a good deal?

There's a shop around here that will do the following swap for $6200

black top with trans swaped
blitz full exhauts
blitz FMIC
BOV
LSD
ACT clutch
fuel pump
manual bost controller
and everything tuneed to 13psi |( around 270 hp and 270 tq @wheels

Is this a phenomenal deal, a good deal, average, below average, or are they trying to rip me off? This is from Garage Kwai (Chicagoland, IL).

In terms of pricing, after everything is said and done, from stock, to the last bolt-on, including installation, which engine swap would deliver the most bang for buck? I had another shop (Sound Performance) recommend that I keep the KA and turbo it - they mentioned a turbo kit they're still developing for around 4-5G that will yield around 300hp,

I don't know enough about cars to perform engine swaps myself, so that's why I gotta figure in the installation cost.

ITS A SOMEWHAT OK DEAL..... NOTHING SPECTACULAR.

I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE OTHER SHOP IN THE FACT THAT YOU SHOULD BUILD UP AND TURBO YOUR KA. YOU COULD HAVE ABOUT 300-350WHP FOR $6800.

If the KA-T gets the better bang for buck, why do people go through the hassle of going through the swaps?

Don't get me wrong - I don't care what's under my hood, it could be a donkey, for all I care, as long as I still get that rush behind the steering wheel.

PEOPLE USED TO SWAP THEIR ENGINE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T THINK THE KA HAD POTENTIAL AND IT IS CHEAPER TO SWAP FOR THE EXTRA 50HP. BUT, WHEN GOING FOR BIG POWER YOU'LL HAVE A BETTER, MORE RELIABLE ENGINE IF YOU BUILD UP AND TURBO WHAT YOU GOT.

I SWAPPED BECUASE OF THE DYNAMICS OF AN I6. PLUS I WANT A HIGH REVING ROAD RACING ENGINE, NOT A STRICT DRAG CAR.

THERE WERE ALSO OTHER BENEFITS TO THE SR OVE THE KA. LIKE A SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER REDLINE, 50+LBS OF WEIGHT SAVINGS, VAST AMOUNTS OF UPGRADES, AND WHAT USED TO BE UNIQUENESS.

lol. it seems a KA-T is more unique nowadays than the SR.

Well, if bang for buck, the KA is better, I just might keep that. Thanks, guys!
