Tach/Temp Gauge not working

I just purchased a 92 240sx yesterday, and the tach and the temp gauges do not work, the car has a sr20det engine swap.
I was thinking of just replacing the gauge cluster, if anyone has any idea of why it does not work, as I am new to nissan's and was a honda person who swapped a crx.

sounds like they didnt properly wire the dash connector. temp gauge is a blue with black stripe, tach is yellow with red stripe (i think) the plug is a few inches from the ECU.

So, i should check the wiring where?
Behind the gauge cluster?
And do I have to run some wires from the ecu?
Thanks, ill be taking the cluster out tomarrow, because the previous owner has white face gauge overlays on it.
So I can take em out lol.

wow... under the kickpanel on the passenger side.

the tach should work because its a 92.. something is wired incorrectly, same with the temp sensor. check wiring, fuses, ecu, temp sender etc

Anyone have any idea's?
I know the car used to be an automatic and it was swapped over when the sr20 was put in.
I'd like to get these gauges working asap.
Thanks
