you seem really hesitant to listen to people with expeirence .

ive personally owned 2 ca motors. i hope you really know what your getting yourself into. and i hope you relize just how old these motors really are. but ill tell everyone to go ca, that just makes sr's cheaper.

ummm no i don't listen to people. I"m going ca18det because I done my own research on it. I sat down here one night at the coputer.. said to my self.. do i really wanna keep pushing forward to build ka24det or just buy a jdm motor and rebuild that.. so then i decided umm too many ka24det's already out there and too many sr20's have been done.. plus i don't like sr's anyways, so i came up with mmmmm ca18det i wonder how great they are.. so i did my own research and like fell in love with it. yeah i understand ca18det's are old as hell and most times when you buy them they are blown or about to blow.. that's why you get it rebuilt and yes i know aftermarket parts are hard to find.. took me forever to find aftermarket crank, rods, and pistons... but i finally found them.
I love all the facts about the ca18det. i can name a few.. cast iron but much lighter then sr20 and it does not have a weak head like the sr20..

so i know what i'm getting myself in to.. i know stock internals can hold 400 hp and anything higher then 500hp on ca18det is risky and your asking for problems.

but i know what i'm getting myself into.. I want something different I want a CA and i wanna work with one.

Well, $900 for a set of pistons is insane. I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a set of 4cyl. pistons.

Get ahold of me sometime tomorrow. I'll get you a good price on pretty much THE best turbo pistons made. CP will have to custom make them, but it's still not as expensive as those Arias. Not only that, but you can get any compression, bore, etc. you want.
My AIM name is UnderPressureTSi.
