hey people, how goes it? well, lets just get right to it...what's the difference between the red-top engine from the black-top(SR20det), other than the COLOR. i'm planning to do the swap in the future so i'm checking out the sites that can order the engine and all the sites i found offer the RED-top for about $2500 and a BLACK-top for over $3000! what am i getting for that extra +$500...A BLACK ENGINE! sorry if i sound dumb for asking, but...well hey, i don't know what the differences are but i would love to find out from anyone out there!! thanks

oops...got the price wrong for the BLACK-top, i was actually getting the price for the clip. BLACK-top(engine only) are about $2900 or less...but still, thats roughly about $400 give-or-take!!

 

Get the front clip if ur ganna be doing a full engine swap. And there is no performance differnce.
