a form of. the s14 and s15 sr's have VVT.

VVT is Toyota. Nissan has VTC.
It's nothing like VTEC, it only advances and retards the intake cams timing. Now Neo VVL with VTC is a different story. It acts like a 3 stage i-VTEC.
