Is this true

ok i have a question......... i was reading about the ka24de and i found out somethng very interesting. I found out that there at like little butterflys in the lower intake manifold, is this true. If it is why the hell would nissan put them there. And should i take them out.......do you think it would make a difference.

Yes, it is true about the butterflys. I think they are there for low end throttle or something. If u go to ********** then go to faq they talk about their removal. It only gives like 6hp and is a pain in the a** to remove

yeah thats what i thought........i was trying to mess arround with my intake manifold the other day because i have a vacuum leak somewhere and i cant find it.....but i was going to pull the lower intake manifold off and it is kinda a pain in the *** so i stopped. but thanks alot i just wanted to make sure.

Well, your vacuum problem could be wiht the pvc valve line. but that is an even bigger pain in the a** to deal with since it is behind the alternator. Good luck with that

hey i found my vacuum leak it was on of the bolts for the EGR valve and now it runs so so so nice but thanks alot man.
