Turbo's for the RB25DET

Hey, I am wanting to upgrade the stock T25 Turbo on the engine to a T28 or possibly a 20G Turbo if I have no other choice. The T28 has a 16G turbine which is great for around 350HP and since it isn't too large it will have a faster spool then most 20g's. I was wondering if the T28 from Garett would bolt right up to stock existing o2 housing. The other main reason I want the T28 is mainly for not having to go through the trouble of buying a new 02 housing or any other aftermarket parts.

Thanks for Your Help!, I appreciate it

I know that the rb25's do have a t25. but i still need someone to help me find out if a garett t28 (which about the same thing as a t25) would fit on the skylines existing o2 housing.

If i can't find out if I can bolt on a t28 directly without any trouble, then how much boost and power can I get from the stock turbo if I crank the boost up all the way?

I think the turbo can only handle 12-14 psi max. It would give like 250-270 rwhp. The turbo is definately a T3. A good upgrade to do is a T3/T4 hybrid upgrade.

Yeah I do think that the t3/t4 is a great upgrade and that is what i originally planned to do, but i think that if i do that i'll have to upgrade the fuel systems to get fuel needed to supply the great air capacity from the turbo. I just think that a t28 is a good upgrade because it is more relatively close to the stock turbo. I am on a low budget and i just want to avoid upgrading fuel and bigger turbo's at all costs.

Check with night7racing. He has the RB t3/t4 upgrade for $500. And ask him whether or not you need to upgrade the fuel system.

I had a GT28 at one time and it does not fit. T3/T4 route is the best choice unless money is no option then get a HKS turbo for the skyline.
