My buddies that run S13 SR's run 10W30 in their motors with no problems. Some even run 5W30.

Is the slight tick just during start up and at other times as well?

I kinda like the Mobil-1 0w-40 myself. Thin oil weights are better for cold climates and gas mileage/emissions more than making your engine last longer.

Alot of how oil affects a car is based on the climate and how the car is driven. The first # in line is the base viscosity, its what the oils weight is cold. The thinner the oil the more likely you are to spin a rod bearing or something of that nature. The thicker the oil the more crank drag your going to get in the pan but IMO its safer than it being to thin and breaking something. I also drive hard and have been through 5 ka's before my SR. I personally run 20w50 now but I also live in the south.

i dont drive my car hard at all, sometimes i feel like punching it though. anyways, the click comes at start-up. its not very loud but its very noticeable. after it warms up and i leave the turbo timer on, ill be walking away from my car and i can hear it. sometimes i cant hear it though. its weird. one of my friends told me i needed a valve adjustment, bad thing is, whatever i need, i dont know how to do it. i dont know anything about these cars since im a newbie to 240s.

RB26- completely different engine. Mckinney recommends the thick stuff for these engines. BUt SR's can go thin. I am using 20w50 in my RB25.

I was using the Iridiums in my RB25 but switched to autolites since I needed to gap the plugs tighter. My spark was being blown out at >10 psi. Also I was told, you're not suppose to gap the iridiums. I also talked to Powel who does these RB swaps and he recommended the copper plugs.

But for the SR's, I don't know.
