Yet another question on the RB25 swap

Ive been researching the rb25det swap and have learned alot of good stuff using the search button but one of the things i was wondering is what is the advantage of buying a whole clip over the motor, tranny, ecu, harness? Do you need something else from the clip that I could purchase seperately? Would it save me money just buying the clip?

You haven't found an answer, because it's an opinion based answer.

Buy a clip, it's the best way. There's too many little things needed that will be hard to find and expensive because too many dumb people are cheap and buy an engine set, then whine/moan/complain about not finding an uncut harness, ECU, downpipe, TB rubber coupler, radiator, and more. I import only front clips of CA18, SR20, RB20, and RB25. Any engines or engine/trans I get to stock for spare parts or replacements for people who race and blow them up. Check out "used japanese engines" post stickied in this forum.
