Yet another rim question...

Ok. So there are SO many threads out there on offset and rims, that I just couldn't see an answer to my question aside from asking directly. And I know next to nothing about rim selection so I wasn't sure how to go about searching, aside from the obvious. Basically I've got an S14, I just put MR coilovers on it, and now I'm starting to look like an r-tard rolling on super sunken S13 rims with my car lowered. So I'm looking for a wheel recommendation. I am looking at 17x8s all around, or possibly 17x8 up from and 17x9 out back. I say this because this car is a daily driver running a stock KA, but it also sees some drift, so I want something wider but I don't have the power to move a real wide tire. How would running a fatter tire out back affect handling? Right now my car understeers like a *****. Now for the hard part. I am four lug of course, and I'd like to stay under a grand for rims and tires. Any suggestions? What about the sportmax 006s (17x8 front, 17x9 rear) with a +35 offset? Is that going to be too much?

listen to ayuaddict. unless you plan on sticking with 15x8s the rest of your life go 5 lug.

I do plan to eventually. I was just looking for a temporary fix. Maybe that money would be better spent on a 5 lug conversion...but then I'd have to find some cheap wheels to put on until I could afford some decent ones.
