The car is still named skyline apparently in Japan. They also have the G35 listed as skyline 350gt in japan as well. The GTR is a nice car but I would probably start off with a regular 'vette. Has 400 hp and 400tq for around $45k. The 0-60 is about 5.2 sec or so, little slower than the estimated GTR but still decently fast. And you can have about $20k more dollars to make 500hp from it.
The z06 is about $70k and that thing rips the track apart! Beating supercars' times around most tracks. But we all know the GTR as well as the Z06 have the base price and then the bloody "MARKUP!!!" So I wonder what the actual price will be for the GTR out the door.

Z06 is fast and nice but it wont have the technology the gtr offers or fit and finish you'd expect from a 70k car. if you just want to go fast the Z06 is the one to get. if youre looking for something deeper, i think the gtr is the better choice. that and the audi r8 =)

ok man dosnt matter what your opinion is because you cant argue with fact and the the G35/G37 in japan is the skyline and thats a fact you dont know jack about nissans
did you know that the first Fairlady Z used the same chassis as the Skyline just like today it does? hmmm does that make the 1964 skyline not a skyline cause the fairlady z uses its chassis?
now go reasearch the subject so the next time you want to argue you know what your talking about.
on another note the Zo6 does have technology its quite amazing if you ask me how do you make a 7 liter v-8 with 500hp and 500 torque and still claim 25mpg? i thought that was just simply amazing in it self.
the Zo6 may not have all the gadgets and toys that make the GT-R a GT-R but it is still an amazing car none the less the track times it has been getting speak for them self.

wow this is a heated thread, but i cant resist. the g35/g37 we have here is a skyline in japan. just not a "gtr" model. if u are familiar with the r32-r34 you know that the skyline did come in a variety of models with the gtr being the best. but they did sell a non turbo, rear wheel drive version such as the gts model. our infiniti g35/g37 is the non gtr model (gts) skyline in japan. i think they actually just called it a nissan skyline 3.5GT in japan. i dont know if that makes sense but thats how it is. and the corvette def has technology. i dont know how it stacks against a car that isnt out yet. just take a look at a zo6's bare chassis with the body taken off. or look at the handmade engine it has. both are equally sexy vehicles. im sorry for writing a book. lol

im glad someone other than me got it. lol. ive only seen a 3.5gt badge but i dare not defy the name you said. lol. either way i know im right and so are u which should make us both happy as hell. i will say that im kinda upset that people on here went ahead and started with the name calling. i expect that behavior on "other forums" but not here. we're a nice group here guys lets keep it that way when we debate. and use only facts maybe when arguing.
