yea theres been discussion about it on zilvia. probably will still be fwd because of the name. dont think theyd keep the normal altimas fwd and then magically just make the coupe rwd.

It is not the same chassis as the SKYLINE that will debut in 2008.
One thing to keep in mind is that an FF chassis has a different wheel base than an FR chassis.

FYI this car is already being sold at a few dealerships in California.

Thanx for the info guys. That's crazy that it's already being sold... that autoblog article says 2008 in the heading... 2007 in the article... wierd.

yea, i've seen one in the southern florida area, i thought it was a wack-*** looking new maxima, but i pulled up behind, and sure enough, "ALTIMA"

I believe Nissan decided to sell it earlier than expected due to the declining sales of the 2006 Altima. Mostly due to it's rather bland body style that has been used since 2001.

caters to a diff market than our broke *** youth segment. we dont have the money to spend on a new car, so they make stuff that appeals to the ones who do.
