Hey guys, im lookin into gettin a daily driver and im lookin into gettin a 240SX coupe convertible and wanna swap in the S13 Sr20DET but my friend told me they only come auto... and thats all i have found. Can I swap the 5-Speed tranny into it off any other 240sx?

I meant the drop top ones yeah, and i wanna get a cheap convertible car that i can have as a daily driver that i can hook up with a turbo motor and a front mount. Im not really planning to go all out with the 240, thats what my MR2 is for. I think the 240 would be pretty sweet with the top back and a nice front mount on the front bumper.

You are right sir. There are underchassis braces that run length wise on the car.

There is one problem that you are going to run into with the 5-speed swap and we are working on fixing it on Todd's car. (He is the white 'vert with the 5 speed from NJ)

The convertable will only work with the parking brake on. The thing is the wiring is changed when you go to 5 speed and there is a sensor that has to be jumped out. We are working on solving it now.

FSM to the rescue.

Oh yeah, Kazama (this is who I was told from the drift extreme video that is circling the 'net) drives a convert with SR power and the ****ing thing is sweet.

Open air, power, system, big rims and you will be loving it. Good luck with the swap.
