Most of my buddies say I shouldn't take out the 240sx like a daily car. Agree or disagree ?

i have a turbo ka as my dd. very reliable. on the other hand my brother has a completely stock ka s14 and has problems all the time. it's a hit or miss

depends on how much hp it's pushing. there reason for is is because the more hp you have the less streetable/reliable it becomes.

also on a side note. if you have a ton of performance mods, flashy paint job, body kit ,striped out interior, and so forth you become a police magnet.

You become a police magnet with gaudy or nice cars. Keep it simple and you got a car cops couldnt care less about. Ive never had problems with cops.

**** cops. there always out to get anyone who doesnt have a harley or muscle car here, its ridiculous.

i havent had problems yet lol but i feel im having great luck...

the thing i've notice here in wa. is that the cop seem to target people with loud exhausts.

not because they are loud but because usually there is something else that they can ticket you for.

and the harleys or muscle cars are loud stock, imports need to be modified. even if it's nothing more than a fart can muffler it's still enough to get the cops attention

as noted, daily driver worthiness is a case by case basis. many variables comes into play. the car itself, history, parts, you as the driver, your area, street conditions, etc. my car looks like a "has been" tuner from 1995 and nobody could care less. visually, im lowered on who-knows-what ancient 5 spoke 15s and catz fog lights. seriously, you'd expect a guy in his mid 30s to own the car instead of me.

I have no choice but to drive this car daily. I think it's reliable, I have some modification and tunning. It's pretty well stock. I lowered 2 inches and i got performance tires. Down side is i live in the Southern Ontario, Canada. Where insurance are extremely expensive. Winter here can be brutal. Rear Wheel Drive doesn't have it's advantage here in winter times. I have money issues. I wont be able to afford a new car until may when i work in a steel mill then I'll be able to take care of my baby.

lol. My car looked like it had herpes for a while until I sanded down my spot putty (green) and repainted my door...


240 = bad DD in my area, but I do it anyway =)

if you drive normal 20-22 city 28~ freeway. also depends on car condition and driver habits.

I get like 3 in the city... 10 on the highway LOL. Not really that bad, but I drive hard.

ive had problems once in a while but my s13 is driven everyday so it depends on the history of your car

I get about 30 mpg on teh highway and about 15 in the city.
Im dead serious.

you must be flooring it on every green light^^

be sure tire pressure, wheel alignment is good. search for threads on how to increase your mpg too...
