240sx vs Sentra SE-R
240sx vs Sentra SE-R
1995 240sx vs 2003 Sentra SE-R
Note : both cars are stock automatics
I raced my friends 03 Sentra SE-R and i'ma just say that it kicked my 95 240sx ***. This was at a dead stop at a stoplight. He got about a 3/4 a car lenght ahead of me until he couldn't pull anymore. This is the confusing part, he told me he didn't floor it. So I said bull****, becuase you can tell when someone floors a cars motor (by the sound) and his tires spinned too.
That was my first race with my new/used 240sx ever since i crashed my civic

lol, thats the same type of person that says " no, I don't have NOS" or "no, thats not a bov you heard", or "I mishifted 2nd and 3rd, thats why you won"
I heard they are pretty fun, but I don't like their suspension setup, or front wheel drive, thats no fun. Buddy @ Work has a Spec V, wants to race my 240, I told him my car is made to go sideways, not in a straight line.

Yeah, the Spec V is rated at 175 hp. So it's definitely got more kick than we do. Nothing a turbo can't cure, in which case you'll still be spending less money than the SE-R guy. =P
Too bad it looks like a sedan.

I wasn't bashing the SER at all man, they are damn good cars, almost bought one as my winter car. I'm at 126K and my engine still puts out like a fox, nissan makes goods engines.
Never said they handle like ****, but not as good as a 240sx. Just said they aren't meant as a sports car and don't go sideways, they are like you said, more economical, way better mileage yet still fun to drive. No insult intended dude. I dunno about not trading it for a good 240sx though, heh.

power to weight ratio beat you... lighter car, 2.5L engine with variable timing (which is also 8 years younger, more refined technology), higher HP rating from the factory, 6-speed (I figure closer gear ratios), 17" stocks... even if it's FWD, SE-R's have some kick in them. I used to have a 95 SE-R and I loved it. Oh - LSD too.
