9.1:1 compression in which 1989 240's?

I've heard rumors that some of the early 1989 240's had a 9.1:1 compression rather than the 8.6:1 found in later cars of the same type. My car was made in December of '88 but how do I know whether it has the 8.6:1 or the 9.1:1?

compression ratio is simply the ratio of the distance between the top of the piston and the top of the block deck at BDC and TDC.

yeah, its the volume the piston squeezes the air/fuelr into. like 9.1 parts crammed into 1 volumetric area
