90 XE Coupe Value?

Ive found a 90 240sx XE Coupe (ka24e) with 111k miles. It looks clean, inside (the interior is very clean to be a 90 and everything seems to be working, minus the picky paint fading off of commonly used handles) and out, and the engine seems quiet enough, the headlights work, and even the stock hubs look undamaged. I couldn't test drive it though, cause I cant drive stick (my friend is gonna go with me monday morning and test drive it for me to see if anything's wrong with it).

Ive looked up the KBB value and NADA value and the price seems to be about right: $2,700

That isnt too much is it? And should I look for anything in particular thats a common problem with nissans? (my last car was a 94 civic auto, but its totalled as of last sunday.)

Any reliability issues?

Hmm..low mileage for that year. 2700 is way to much, just to let u know KBB ALWAYS over prices, so shoot for a few hundred less. Id say less then 2k for sure. If you can get them to go REAL low then go for 1300-1600. My friend got a 89 240, good condition except for the roof paint, VLSD and 88k miles for 900 bucks!!!! Runs great and everything.
As for reliability, 240s are very reliable cars if you know how to take care of them. Just give them love, and they will love you back. the engine is real strong and can hold up to a lot of beatings. If you can get them to the right price, id say go for it

I agree with hyjnx that the price of 2700 is a hair too high, but don't think you're gonna luck in and get the thing for 900, or even 1600. The bottom line is 240's are rare and high demand = higher prices that people are willing to pay. I'd honestly offer 2K cash, and then go up to 2200 if needed. Thats if the clutch and tranny seem to be in good shape, and check for his tune-up records, make sure they are done as well. If he hasen't done the water pump or wires or clutch is bad, adjust the price accordingly.
