WORKED! 92 manual into 96 auto

yes, I have done my search and did crazy emails to everyone but have yet to have an answer. and this is my final and last resort, so please help me.

Here's the thing::
I have a auto 1996 240sx se. It is gutted out laying in my backyard. My brother is giving me his 1992 240sx se engine+manual tranny. Becasue he's doing his sr20det swap right there as well. He's using his lower and upper harness (like how they always use them with the sr20 harness). So what I'm left with is a 92 engine+manual tranny into a auot 96 with auto 96 harness and ecu. WOULD THIS WORK?

I need as much help as possible, I need the car for college and I been working all summer longer and i just started working on the car 3 days ago...just waiting for an answer and I put that shiit in right away, so please please help me. TIME is a major issue for me,classes starting in 2 days. SO PLEASE....HELP A BROTHAAA OUT!!!

flame as much as you want, but I highly doubt anyone asked this question ever yet...I just need her to run, fuc passing emission or anything at all, just run run run run...just run pleaseeeee help..thaknk you thank you thank you

no need to bump you only posted it like 20 mins ago. The 1996 is OBDII, so if I'm not mistaken you will need several parts off of an OBDII 240sx and

The 92 transmission won't have a crankshaft position sensor. It's located in the bellhousing. The CEL will come on without the crankshaft position sensor.

Jet chips will reprogram and send out the right ecu in under 24hours it is there policy. All you will need to do is send in your ecu later in order to get your deposit back.
For easy install use the 92engine and tranny, while you are at it install the 96 intake mani onto the 92engine, this will remove the secondary butterfly's for added power, about 6 more CHP over stock. Install all your bolt ons from the 96.
Make shure you let Jet know all modifications that are made. That includes the crank angle sensor that is on the 5speed manuals, and the removal of butterfly's. It's cheaper than JWT.
This way you can use the same wiring harness.

I p.med you with the JET web site, let them know that you are installing a 92 engine into your 96, so that they can reprogam the difference in the cam lobe and duration from the 96 to the 92 engine.

Or you can keep the fuel dump that you have and just do the hot cam set up 248/232.

You might need the 90 degree water outlet from the 96 engine. It's on the side, right by the front of the engine. The one on the 92 engine might be in the way of the throttle body.

it beem a month now, my baby still not on the road. I ordered trh tranmission fluid redline it have not come yet, been 3 weeks. fucen **** off about that. But I cranked my baby, dry, she did not go. She sputter but just won't go. Some people told me it's the distributor since I took mine 96 distributor and just jam the **** in. I tried to do teh TDC thingie to the first spark plug and would attempt to do the timming right tomorrow. I don't have a "timming gun". But yea so what else you guys thinks is the problem?

this is what I done so far
1. install 92 manual engine + tranny
2. used 96 auto ecu and harness
3. splice the starter circuit
4. connect reverse sensor
5. installed clutch master cylinder, slave, and piping
6. installed the driveshaft and relocated the support
7. connnected all the lines, using all 96 tubes, holes, wires
8. turn on car, lighting, sterio, everything work normally
9. cranked....no car....
10. checked everything over and over again
11. tighten all bolts and ground wires
12. checked for fuel, spark, and power
13. system all green(go) but she no GO,
14. cry
15. cry
16. cry
17. (this have not been decided yet, so please help me anyone)

(oh yea once my car start, there is this guy who I'm sending 10/20 bucks too casue he been helping me alot, but if you can do something else for me, maybe you too will get luck)
