Air Bag Removal

How do you remove the passenger airbag on an s14. on my car the passenger side has deployed, so I want to take it out, and viynl a nice panel to cover the area until I can get another one to replace it. I tried Chilton's style manuals with no luck. I've also read there is a special bit you need. So what holds this thing in here and what do I need to do to get it out? Thanks!

You do need a special bit, its called a tamper proof bit (6 point bit with a hole in the middle of it) I just dont know if you have to remove the entire dash to access the bolts, or can I remove the Airbag lid somehow? I tried looking it up in a chiltons manual but it was no help. whats an FSM?
