S14 automatic with just an intake ran 17.4 in the quarter mile on average without being aggressive on the launch. If I abuse the transmission I'm sure some high 16 sec times are possible.

I don't recall beating any cars. Got beat by a cavalier once though.

At least your honest man!! I'm tired of hearing "i beat my brothers dads friends corvette" Or "i smoked a Twin Turbo supra"

My fastest E.T. was 16.5 with a 1.4 sec reaction time. Just intake, exaust, iradium spark plugs, and no back interior.

Why is it not possible to beat a supra? the turbo s14 ha a 0-60 time 0f 6.5 secs a supra is 5.8 not much difference it only takes that half a second reaction time and he's behind you. Thats without even modding your s14! My MR2 turbo which i had wasn't a patch on my S14 so a supra is hardly gonna scare me. BRING IT ON!!!

AL02UK, The UK 200sx is turbo from the factory, unfortunately, we here in the US gets only 155hp rated by the factory, which means about 123 hp to the wheels. Put that against a turbo supra and you'll get a nice beat down. Turbo 240sx can be very fast, so I'm not arguing that point.

i appreciate your comments but 200sx turbos arrive here with 235bhp as standard. We have no modification laws and very forgiving co2 tests which enable you to even remove the cat and still pass it. Surely you cannot say a heavy toyota supra could beat that because i surely cant. A supra comes out of the factory only a few bhp more.

The American Supra's run 220-230hp stock, and those aren't turbo'd. A TT supra i'm told runs 300hp Plus, and is attainable to 1200hp, I've seen an article on one over 1000hp. thats 220 of NA power, so NA you might beat it. But a TT Supra will definately rape.

If I remember correctly the TT Supra was rated at 320hp before it's demise in the U.S. market.

$0.02 cents goes a long way sometimes

Just to settle some questions, I'm looking at a '95 issue of Motor Trend right now and they have the stats for a stock TT Supra.
320 horsepower/ 315 lb.ft torque
0-60 in 5.1 sec.
1/4 mile in 13.5 sec. @ 107.1mph
They also noted that the Supra was easily able to bounce off of its stock speed limiter at 157mph! In other words it would have easily soared over 160mph stock.

The same issue also has stats for a 95 Nissan 240sx SE
155 horsepower/ 160 lb.ft torque
0-60 in 8.3
1/4 mile in 16.1 @ 85.6mph

I love 240s for what they are, but please be realistic. You are comparing a $45,000 supercar to a $20,000 sport coupe. Even a turbo 240sx would need to be modified pretty well to hang with a stock Supra TT. Now the older MKIII supra turbos are a different story, they only came with 220hp from the factory on a very heavy car, so a turbo powered 240 would smoke one of those.

man, the 240 isnt a drag car and everyone who uses it for that needs to get that sTrEeT rAcEr mentality out of their mind

stock s14 runs about low 16's high 15's in the 1/4...not that impressive

this car was designed for track in mind (this was the car nissan designed to compete in the JGTC300) and all you guys talking about straightlining this car is wasting the car imo

fast straights are for fast cars, fast turns are for fast drivers
