Altima v.s. 240

I wasn't talking about drift. I mean grip. What does drifting have to do with this. I'm talking about a cars handling, which entails not losing traction.....I.E. drifting. I agree with the Altima losing the rearend and being able to pull it through with the accelerater, but for weight transfer and proper braking through turns, the simple fact that the Altima steers, and drives itself by the same 2 wheels will give the 240 the advantage. Bad weather, that too I will admit to an extent. It just means the Altima will understeer more as well, and quite frankly I'd rather have the rear end swing out then plow some grass.

the 240 being that its RWD will accel better because of weight shift at WOT. the Altima is FWD and when you slow down to go through the corners its going to be more responsive and its also easier to keep the car moving in a straight line. if you lose the rear end going through a corner all you have to do is punch it and the car will pull itself out. the Altima will perform just as good as the 240 in the twisties but if track conditions are bad the Altima will have the upper hand. sure you can make a 240 drift but that doesnt mean that its a better car.

Ever consider torque steer or front/rear weight ratio?
wait a minute, how the hell do you expect any altima, I don't care what year to beat a 240 in turns. our turn radios is so much tighter, and depending on what year 240, you may have 4 wheel steering. I know my 240 will take turns as tight as a 3000GT-VR4, may not do it faster, but it can take it just as sharp without losing any momentum
lets put an end to the debate

i thought it was hilarious when the guy said he could just upgrade his suspension and handle like a 240
RWD will always handle better, specially the 240. not many cars will beat the 240 in the twisties. RX-7's, Miatas, and maybe a few more, mostly AWD cars will, but thats about it. Altima=family sedan. 240SX=sports car.
