Thumbs down Another Honda owner leaves me speachless

I was browsing through some yahoo search results and came to a link to a message board. Had some posts about RB26 into 240's. And here is one post I read..
Turboholic: I want a 12 second car and it didnt seem possible in my 240. 240 was completely stock with some body damage. Crx has wings west body kit, h&r springs, sohc vtec engine, je forged pistons still in box and a set of brembo rotors. I sold my 240 for a 1000 and bought the crx for a 1000. The bodykit and springs have less than a 50 miles on them. Oh yeah and it has about a 500 dollars exhaust. 3inch all the way back with a 3 inch racecat and some loud *** muffler, too loud. But the setup will work good when turbocharged. Still dont know if it was a good decision.

at this honda owner

a 12 second 240... that's funny... a 12 second CRX... that's hilarious. god, i hate "the scene".... if the kid wanted a fast car, he should've gotten a DSM. but he sounds like a 'tard, so i'm glad he just got a honda

Umm..you picked the wrong club to post negative comments about 240's on. I'd happily invite you to a race. I've raced a great number of DSM's and im not really that impressed. My friend's is pretty fast, but he's spent upwards of 15k on it. And it breaks quite freaquently. I've yet to have a problem with my car. Just my 2cents, but im sure everyone on this board will back me up. 12second 240's arent hard to find. 12second drivers..well, thats differant.

If all you want is a 12 sec. what kind of idiot would buy a 240, let alone a CRX? Hell I wouldn't even get a DSM.....

sorry im not gunna back u on this one if i wanted a 12 sec. car a 240 would be tha last thing on my list, y use a 240 for a drag car??? they already have bad traction, get a 240 for some real driving on the road course or drifting, or both, thats what i got mine for. yes i do do some drag but only for fun, im not building my car for that. the only drag racing i really like is hwy racing, u get to higher speeds that way( when the gov. is gone, which is one of the next things on my list ) and its more fun , but hey, thats just my $.02

i wanted something to road race. i dont know if you this but DSM's can only do one thing right, thats drag race . i was trying to pursue an racing career, and dsms weight a lot to race with the one i have weights like 3100lbs with driver. but i wasent downing the 240 there pretty cool because when stock with an sr20det in it they weight i think like 2600 to 2700lbs as aposed to 3100lbs. i just think they are an good car .
