It's probably off some sort of diesel CAT construction vehicle. I doubt you will get much more information on it. Are you planning on using it on an sr/ka?

actually silviaks2nr, are you in raleigh? i live in an nc state dorm room right off avent ferry road and i see a dark green ka-t s14 drive by all the time, car is sick by the way. no its a 1jz motor in an s14, im just trying to decide whether or not i want to try and keep it before i get the car tuned. main problem is the exhaust has a 4 inch v-band outlet and i have a 3 inch dp im gonna have to modify. i hate the idea of tapering the 4 to a 3, but thats my only option. i also want to get a realistic idea of how quickly this thing will reach full pressure by, this car will be my dd.
thanks for the replies.

I see. Wasn't sure if he was pulling the turbo off of that motor or something.

Yes that could be me... although my car hasn't been on the road for a few months No idea what to suggest with the 1j, that looks like a stout turbocharger though. What kind of flange does it use?

oh yeah i saw it last year, havent seen anything resembling it this year... The turbo seems alright, unfortunately its internally gated and the previous owner welded the external gate flange shut. i can always fix that later as id like to run a tial 44mm. I need a 4 inch v band flange to make a downpipe, no one in raleigh seems to have one, ive been calling around. do you have any suggestions?
thanks

You're probably best off ordering it online. I have no clue who would carry them, it's already hard enough to find 3" mandrel bends around here...
