battery options/opinions?
So my battery wont keep a charge, but its fairly old and has treated me well but its time to retire it. never really thought about a "special" battery or anything like that but would like as few problems as possible when moving it to the trunk, such as maybe some reduced weight, mounting position, etc. of course optima comes to mind but I've never heard either way that these batteries were worth the extra cash. anyone have any experience with these batteries? or have an suggestions on a different battery? any help would be appricated.

Coincidently the battery died in my Kouki this morning, I will probably put in a Red Top since I'm not concerned about weight so much as I am about reliability and cost.

i highly recommend die hard silver, i've had one for about seven, yes seven years with no problems.
now of coarse if it's a lightweight battery that your looking for this is not for you.

As much as my last project should not be followed...
I will be relocating my batery to the trunk and sinking it in the spare tire well about 4 inches. Will be using a marine battery box, Optima redtop, and a custom alimunum box to fit the hole in the floor. Based on my scales and weight distribution numbers (for the S14) it will maintain 50-50 or bring 49-51 (optimal) to the car, add some more weight in the rear for traction, clean up the engine bay, and be completely invisible under the spare.

One guy I saw at a drift comp had it mounted just forward of the rear bumper on the underside of the car
