Beating a dead horse...
I know this is like beating a dead horse and all, i've searched the posts on it, can't find a really good example of whats going on w/ MY car. I just got my radiator, waterpump and thermo replaced in a local shop...They did a cylinder leak down test and the tech. said that everything checked out fine (after replacing the above items) So they called me today said the car was ready, it was running fine and not overheating...Got the car, drove home, noticed that the temp. gauge raised to normal (middle of gauge) rather quickly, but the drive home is only like 10 blocks. A little later took the car to the carwash to spray off all the ice and snow..Midwest has the best weather 75 on sunday, snowing today...neway car driven for about 15-20 min. with the defrost on the whole time @ full and strted to overheat as i pulled into the driveway, got to about 3/4 the way to "H" I turned the car off and the coolant was boiling... Most likely cause the system not being bled properly? Junk parts store H2O pump? Thermo installed wrong?? Whadda guys think???
I'd appreciate all the help -Matt

prob didn't bleed it right. it can be a *****. Jack the front of the car up, turn heater on full blast, open rad cap and loosen bolt on mani, massage hoses, anything you can do to get the air out. Once the coolant just sits there with no bubbles it should be fine.
