Best NA engine for a 240

how does the ls1 fit in the 240 i got a 91 and im looking at the ls1 and it does not look like its gonna fit

do i have to cut the firewallback and move the the engine support bar forward or is there a kit

I get 33mpg with a stone stock 180,000 mile KA.

I dont have 2k to spend on a running engine. Like i said i would like to stay with a nissan motor, even if that means finding a
sr20det, I found a parts car my freind has that is sitting around he said it is 5 speed + turbo, he doesnt know what year it is and doesnt have a title. It was thinking donor car. How can i tell what motor it has in it?

You won't get an SR running, or even the motor at all without at least 2k. Search if you want to differentiate motors

im not too sure why you insist on going NA, but in that case i suppose an SR20DE would be okay, but wont yeild you that much better anything compared to a KA, based on a cost/benefit ratio a KA would be much better, and you can put your 2000 into suspension.

ls1's are alot more expensive than 2k, i think my buddy got his motorset for around 5000, and he now makes a swap kit into the 240 for around 2000 including labor
