broke my brakes

so i was having a little spirited driving session, when i pulled my handbrake around a turn, and i must have pulled it too hard (im 6', 140 lbs, so im not that strong... haha) and it sounded like it snapped. it went loose, and now you can lift it up to almost vertical before it grabs. but now also my foot pedal break also has a lot of travel before it grabs as well. and my brakes are dragging, which is annoying and causing a little brake fade.

Check everything over. Check how much brake fluid you have, look at the lines, etc. Isn't the 240's e-brake hydraulic?

im thinking so, because when i reefed on the ebrake, it caused slop in both the ebrake and the pedal brake. it also bent the sensor for the brake light, which now is on all the time.

you may have stetched the ebrake cable causing further ebrake travel.
You may have over extended the brake piston which cause the piston boot to jam preventing the brake piston from being retracted (brake dragging).

inspect your brakes and test what you can.
