Buying 240 in FL

I am still trying to find a 240sx around here in RHode Island but can't find a thing. I found one in FL for 2900. It is a SE. About 128000 on it but that isn't a big deal. Edmunds says a dealer for that car should sell it for 3600. I would need to get it shipped. It has been in accident but it is fixed and it runs smooth. Should I go for it or wait for something else? I can't find any. What another good site other than autotrader?

if you are talking a car under $5k I would never have one shipped. You should be able to find one at least within a 4 hour drive of you. It's the higher end ones that prove difficult.

The production was low, but not rare.

Good luck.

I would...if you were talking about dropping $12-15k on a 10k mile S14 (which would be extremely rare) I would still say you'd be better off flying out to confirm it's 'real'.

So far the last two low mileage I have seen (both above $10k) have been 150k mile cars with used low mile engines (supposedly).

The idiots on the phone total said 'the whole car has low miles' the second time the guy flat out lied when I asked is the low miles just because of the engine swap. His defense was the tires, brakes, clutch and shocks are new too so the whole car is new ?!?!?

These cars weren't even clean. Dinged up worn out beaters with new engines.

There is a lot of scam potential now with these being the so-called hot cars now. I have yet to see one real LE in person, all have been 4 lugs, one actually had the badge.
