buying things in Japan......
Ummm, no they wont or else they would have to unwrap EVERYTHING in the crate( they dont). 8 crates total. They put blankets & cardboard around everything & mark it with a big black marker to see if it was opened. I took pics of everything & video. Everything came off as it was put on.( I took video because we shipped over $70K in furniture)
They label it as car tools or something like that. I'll try & find my old packing slip & see what it says but this was 5 years ago.
Things may have changed between now & then.

LOL...yeah ok for sake of arguement you are completely 100% right.
Just for the record...
You are allowed to wrap them. They just anotate it that it was wrapped before hand & there for isnt covered for damage. But then again i'm wrong because you should know. I have only had to do it 3 times. With first hand experience.
You are a cilivan DoD employee. For all we know you can work, in the chowhall with the JN's.
But like I said. The last time I moved from overseas before getting out of the military was 5 years ago.
Thank you , drive through.
Sorry for jacking this thread.

JN = Japanese National (or more simply, a local)
you can find ENGINES I know for as low as 300 bucks.. but also go as high as 2000 depending on year and whats with it. Japan is not dumb to all this import export stuff.. there are TONS of parts exporters in tokyo area that scoop up going rate parts. All junk yards that I have been to in japan so far.. , in kyushu south island of japan, has not really had squat.. things disappear fast.. but heard that in tokyo it is not as bad. as far as shipping not shipping.. ect.. I have NO idea. Just dont be totally surprised with what you find.. sometimes you get really good deals other times.. you just pay out your ***. good luck with your search.. Tokyo like i said maybe a totally different game

Poweredby007 - where are u in Japan? anywhere near Yokuska?
also, i guess it comes down to this, will the Navy ship the motor and clip? if not motor, will they send the clip, since it is not have any motor parts or anything?
I really want the rb25, but if its gonna cost me more than $500 to get it over here through the navy, forget it.
You guys have shed a lot of light on this, it has helped soo much
Nate

Also, couldnt yu just split up the parts from a clip, well actually it wouldnt be a clip, just the hood, fenders, headlights, bumper, wiring, and brackets?
man.. im getting sooooo anxiuos i want to go and see the stuff but I cant..

Thank you , drive through? You want fries with that?
they deal in late model items, i am not sure the names of the yards, but from what i have gathered many of them are not like the US pick and pull, everything is categorized and ready to go.
As far as what was what 5 years ago forget anything you know. Even now shipping electronics many times our shipments are inspected and repacked. There has been damaged items due to this.
