Car prices
Hi,
Just curious about how much you all paid for your cars. A lot of you have mentioned that you would like the sr20det availability that we have down here in australia, but for what price. Mine is an sr20de, ie, non turb. 96 gen 180sx and i paid $AUS17000 which is about $US8500. And i got a good deal.
I just saw a thread where they said they paid $US2500 and it was steep. not to mention those couple that paid $800 and $500. ****, for $800 here you would be lucky to get a 1975 gemini that runs (they are crap, look them up "holden gemini")
looks to me that even if you buy the 240sx and do an engine conversion, you are still way ahead.

I spent 2600 on my car. I would have given the guy 1500 if I knew what I know now.
My SR isn't going into my 240 but the front lights and **** might.
well i overpaid hardcore for mine. $4500 for a '91 w/ 97,000 miles. i know i overpaid so dont give me ****. i've gotten enough. the car is in emaculate condition and i really wanted it. 240s aren't exactly easy to come by around here.

I paid 3500 for my first S13 2.5 years ago, and had to put in 1700 to get the car running right, had oil leaks and all kinds of stuff. And then my newest one, I paid $2300 for $126K and a pretty decent body and interior. Got it a Tuneup with all Nissan parts including Nissan Wires (140) and New EGR valve and O2 Sensor also all from Nissan for 175. And Including all of that cost me about but I also need a clutch which is about 600 when its all said and done, and some engine mounts (280) so My total price to have my car run properly + cost of car =3495.
So I'm up there also, and it is hard to find a 240 in good condition. I saw like 5 of them before I chose the last one and all of them sucked. So I would like spitz and pay more for a car in good condition rather than fix it back up to the way it should be as I was trying to do with my other car and that gets really expensive. SO good move.
