Car Was Stolen

PLEASE DON"T DELETE BECAUSE IT"S A REPOST

Called the shop where I had my car today, waiting for my new exhaust manifold to come in, to tell them I was going to pick it up

Me: Hey this is Nick just to give you a heads up I'm going to pick up my 240
SHOP: its not here dude, we thought you or your buddy pick it up(I was at the shop by myself, have no "buddy" with me"
Me: Please tell me you are kidding
SHOP: nope, you should call your ins. co

So these guys had the only set of keys and assumed I jsut picked it up....even when they told me to call when I was going to so someone would be there for me

Plus it was behind the shop, infront of a fence so if you didn't know the car was there, you couldn't find it

PICTURES if anyone can help or has any ideas

Ouch man, that's a freakin sweet ride. That's so awful that's it's gone. I don't know where you live but if I see it I'll get it back for ya. People need to learn to earn, not take. Hope you get it back.....and in one piece.

Sorry, but I gaurantee that car is dismanteled and sold for parts. Check eBay for auctions of parts that you had on your car. If some parts have had serial #'s you might be able to get stuff back.

If you car was on the property of the shop then it falls under their liability. They should have business insurance and since they are at fault should reimburse you for their mistake. Talk to someone who knows more about it. Your insurance agent for one. And the police.

it could be a inside job, My old team member had his eclipse at a shop where they did 10k of work on it, 2 days later the car was stollen, police invesitgated and tied it to workers at the shop. Even though it was the workser the shop was lieable and got sued by my team member. He did win but the shop filed bankruptsy.

Ah, I know the feeling...sigh...I know it all too well. All your hard earned money, all the time and effort, not to mention EMOTIONAL STRAIN, all for someone to take it away with little effort. People suck.

Especially people who think they can get things without working hard for it. Lazy bastards.
