I was making a right turn onto a 2 laner n i saw a car coming. i made the turn anyway, cuz usually (on this street) i pick up alot of speed so the person i went in front of doesnt have to tap on the brakes. As i was going n picking up speed like hell, i noticed the car i went in front of was a Camaro. He switched lanes n was now cathing up in my blind spot. so i gunned it n he gunned it. he tried to cut me off, but there was an SUV in front in his lane. I ended up boxing him in. Then when i passed the SUV he slowed down n went behind, then switched lanes immediately after he passed the SUV. We were then side by side. Man, i felt like Paul Walker right there. HAHAHA. he attempted to pass me n cut me off, but i guess he either didnt go all out or he didnt pick up enuf speed to cut me. Then coems a 25 mph turn. i think he was @ 80 - 85mph n i know i was @ around 80. He slowed down like hell like 100 feet b4 the turn. I took it @ 70.

anyways, that was pretty stupid n fun. If we took it to the track, hands down the Camaro would win. If we took it to the mountains...
I apologize if anyone finds this stupid n a waste of space. I felt like i had to share my ignorance with u all.

okay, i'm not trying to be a ********, but let's not do this unless there's no one else around.....and preferably on a damn near empty interstate....i would have hate to think what could have happen had the moron in the camaro not cleared the SUV...... i usually don't "race" unless provoked multiple times......but i know sometimes the testosterone kicks in and we feel we gotta show who has the bigger d!ck............let's be careful fellows.

It's cool. The fastest RB25 here ran a 13.6 at the local track. The other one was running 14's (he was having boosting problems though) My fastest time at the track is a 13.0 (I eased it into 4th gear b/c I had missed 4th the run before and didn't want to mess it up again.) And I've beat high 12 sec. cars on the street. I've yet to see a 12 sec. RB with stock turbo and simple bolt-ons (at least around here)

One thing to respect about sr's is that the engine weighs almost 35% less than the big heavy RB series of engines. The added weight of the RB will slow em down in the 1/4 mile compared to high boosting SR's......

HMMMMMM, I don't think any n/a ka with basic mods could beat 1/2 the cars some of you have listed. 240's are nothing to write home about when it comes to drag racing (don't get me wrong, I love 240's, but a fairly stock 240 is slow).

M3's are pretty fast it would be interesting to see on an mpeg, do you got a DV camera? I would like to see who wins....... Do you have a s13 or an s14? I think an s13 with a second gen sr with no boost would beat a m3.......

Not sure who you're referring to but I'm running a lightly modded SR.

ic, i know r33's ( rb26's) run about 13.3 stock. so a 240 should flly if the motor is free of bugs. a 240's are around 2450 lbs and a skyline is 1000 more lbs then that. It should be like automatic 12's i guess. Im just going buy weight to power ratio

Thats pretty much correct.......
The N/A KA needs alot of modifying, it is as extensive as bumping up the compression with internals, to upgrading the fuel delivery and EMS as well.......
For those that do "ONLY" bolt on's the KA is limited to it's 155Crank Horse Power Output.
As far as FI with NOS or turbo charging it takes very little boosting to get the KA to perform high HP numbers when compared to the SR........

Yeah, neither of the 2 240sx's that I ran had rb26's in them. One had an RB20 (190hp) in an S14 (which are a little heavier than my car) and the other S13 had an RB25 (which put out 250hp). RB26's are definitely a more potent motor when it comes to power. Actually, the guy I bought my first SR from now has an RB26 (built w/ T72) in his S13 here locally.
