Question Clunking/Thumping Sound

When I accelerate with my car I hear a clunking or thumping sound coming from the back end. It is probably my differential but I'm not sure. It's not a very loud clunk but it happens almost everytime I press the gas pedal, it's getting quite annoying. Does anyone know how I can check to find out what it is or possibly fix this problem? Thanks

my friend had a similar thing in his supra. we heard it for a couple weeks then he was on a trip and his rear diff crapped out on him and left him stranded. i would get it checked ASAP.

My car does it too. It's because the rear subframe bushings are shot. You can sure this by either replacing the bushings or by buying spacers, which just compresses the subframe onto to the car.

Ok Ill looking into the bushing and spacer idea's. God I'm so broke after buying this car I don't even have enough for a 240sx Haynes booklet.

If anyone has any more comments or suggestions to do with the clunking thumping sound I am experiencing please tell me your thoughts thanks.
