Confused......

- alright, well i finally got some time off and decided it was FINALLY time to yank the P/S. However, i know you need to plug a few lines with bolts, but i can't figure out which ones. I have three picture: 1) The end of the high pressure hose do i plug this off? next the rack: which lines do i plug off? the ones on the left that go to the pump or the ones on the right and the holes in the rack itself? third: can i plug off the pump where the high pressure hose starts?

i'm guessing you want to run without powersteering? well i've read that you want to make sure there is some fluid in the steering rack itself. and i'm guessing remove everything but the rack and just plug off the lines that go to the rack.
hope that helps

Make sure there is fluid in the rack. Remove the hard lines that go to the pump and to the reservoir and plug the holes. Then remove the reservoir and pump and you are done.

take that hose of the pump and let it vent into the air.. dont cap that pump it will explode... after that all you have to do is take the lower lines and shove some bolts in there and your done bro.

i wish it was that easy, but on a KA, the p/s pump is the belt adjuster for the water pump, so it can't be removed.

Biggamehit- I'm having a hard time understanding where you plug the lines, if you could throw a pic up that would help a lot. Did you thread the bolt in where the hardlines screw in or did you cut the hardline and actually jam the bolt inside the hardline?
