constant blowing of the #2 "Meter" fuse.. need advise porfavor

from time to time the #2 fuse.. next to last one on the left column ... would blow out. its a 10 amp fuse.. so i replaced with higher amp fuses and it works fine for a while.. it usually lasts like a couple weeks or so then blows again..

well i have had some overheating problems and have just replaced radiator cap .. water pump .. and bled my coolant system..

so i was getting ready to test out my car.. and see how if i fixed the overheating problem..

but the meter fuse now is blowin everytime i pop a fuse in.. i went up to even a 25 amp fuse and it is still blowing as soon as i turn the ignition to on position..

this meter fuse controls the power seatbelts.. a/c / heater panel .. and all the gauges in the dash except speed..

the problem is i cant test my car because my temp gauge does not work now.. and neither does my heater..(to remove air bubblers in coolant lines)

has anyone else had a problem with this fuse.. is there a simple fix other then ripping everything out and checking for shorts?

need advice so that i can get my 240 running again..

by the way.. this is a 92 240sx se ..

thanks

i would say that there is just a wire that is lose behing your tach or hvac system. if thats the case it is grounding out and blowing your fuse.

its probably a wire that doesnt have much around and thats why it was lasting before. you hit a bigger bump and bam. now its just touching.

have you taken anything apart lately that might have caused this to happen?
