cp racing sturt brace

I got this cp racing strut brase for my '92 240 and it bolts to the firewall in two places. I had it on my last 240 and it caused all kinds of vibrations in the cabin. I thought about using rubber washers to absorb some of the vibrations. Anyone have any thoughts on how to minimize these annoying vibrations???
Attached is also a picture of the strut brace.
Thx for any help.

I heard those things tear the firewall apart. I suppose you could try a medium thickness square piece of rubber on the flat sections against the firewall.

I'd hate to change plugs with that thing on though...

How can that "tear" the firewall apart?

How much was it, other than vibrations, are you impressed?

Use bike intertube and put it between the metal parts

maybe "tear" is the wrong word... I'm not speaking out of personal experience here... just remember some people not liking it
