Nah man.. Sorry. Just look for a hose that looks as if it goes around and hooks into the intake. That should be it. Just make sure the engine is warm first.

My car idles perfect and it only cost about 8 bucks to fix!! I pinched the hose and it almost went dead so I figured Hey it must be that. Well I was pretty much busted so I figured I would try using the Seafoam to unstick the idle control valve. So I put one can in the gas filled it up with high test and sucked the other can one third of a can at a time up the vacuum hose from the brake booster. I then let it soak for a while and cranked it. It smoked like a freight train. I didn't wait for the smoke to clear I just did it again until the bottle was gone. The very first time I sucked it up it immediatly started idling perfect. I was amazed. Well then I got a little nervous because it had been idling for like 15-20 minutes and it was still smoking like hell. So then I took it out on the road and ran the living **** out of it. You couldn't even see the cars behind me. It was like a frigging forest fire. I thought oh great that **** ate my damn engine. Will I drove like that for awhile maybe 15 minutes and it cleared completely up and it has never ran better. SEAFOAM IS THE F_ _ _ ING ****.

If the engine dies when you sqyeeze the hose , does that mean the idle control valve has gone bad ?

I'm thinking thats correct. th3br4d said a mechanic told him that was how to tell. I pinched it and mine started missing real bad. I think it was sticking and the sea foam cleaned it out.

There should be one hooked to the brake booster. It heads toward the intake. You'll know because it'll be the one that tries to suck your shirt off.
