Custom Exhaust

ok so i have weighed my options and i think i am going to go with a custom exhaust, for now i am NA until i can finish gathering/researching my turbo. i am going with a 3" cat-back that can easily be connectted to the upcoming 3" "cat forward" to downpipe. the price is right at about $120 for labor and parts minus muffler. what i was wondering is what kind of muffler should i get high flow and moderate sound are needed. i just finished up a 300hp+ Starion with a magnaflow. it sounds decent, but what are some more options. sound clips would be great thanks!

If you want anything quiet, you need a resonator to go along with it. Magnaflow is good, along with dynomax turbo mufflers i have heard...Flomaster 60s for a little rumble You need a decent sized resonator for anything for it to sound good...

Yeah I was looking into getting a quietter exhaust too, Everyone says the same thing, focus on the resonator... and once you're turbo it will take a lot of the 'annoyance' out of it....

Sidenote / Anyone have input?...

I had this idea and design and was soo excited, till I found out another company already made one [bastards...]
An exhaust 'dump' Butterfly Valve...
Essentially it's a Y-Split Exhaust, one going to your normal piping.. One having a butterfly valve leading to a 3" length pipe the cut off. What it does essentially is lets you use your 'stock' or Aftermarket Exhaust, and on demand.. able to switch to an 'open' exhaust.
Sounds like a pretty nice thing, for the days you hit the strip... or if you wanna go from vrooom... to BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHh.... haha

Another Idea of mine was to do the same thing for a turbo inlet - Something you could open to have a direct flow of cold air into the turbo or valve it shut on rainy days / highway [avoid debres(sp?)]
