D1 and Formula D are two different entities. I'm sure each driver has their vehicle set up to their exact specifications and not some pre-made D1 super dori dori spec. Why you think SR is a drift requirement is beyond me.

if you would like to look at some car parts lists you can try magazines. jtuned.com onlineshowoff and like a lot of other websites have cars with pictures and mod lists.

but d1 cars are basically motor built from the ground up. block and head. suspension usually varys but most of them run pretty heavy camber and stretched tires for response. 2-way clutch lsds stitch/seam welded chassis and the works.

haha, it would still be big bucks if you were rich, just wouldnt fase you spending that much, but anyway. I got the new option dvd and they were saying that alot of the cars didnt even have 300 horses. and that was in a D1 event, i dont know how much they use in formula drift.

OHH, and one of the AE 86 or what ever had like 100 horse power, HAHAHA

Under 300hp is nuts cause most of the cars are pushing 500+ HP......big turbos, overbored motors all that sort of whacky stuff.

Even Formula D has some High HP monsters, Ken Gushi's Mustang is making close 700HP @ the Crank. JR Gitten is making similar power also. But the AE86 Corolla's usually are not even 200HP

thats crazy, 700 horses just seems like too much, V8 already have the torque to burn the tires down all day long, but that is just rediculous
