dash lights

I just bought an s13 (finally!) and when I turn on the headlights the dash lights are out. I searched but what I found confused me. Maybe its cuz its late. But anyways the previous owner said they went out when he installed a new head unit. All I want to know it what wire and where is the wire? Thanks.

It's probably a wire in the harness that just needs to be bolted to a ground, like I said in previous threads, I forget which wire it is though. Sorry, I know thats not really much help lol

Thats what I thought to do from reading the other threads about this, but do you know where the wire might be? The guy I bought it from said the passenger side kick panel. Is it there or behind the head unit?

I had the same problem with mine. Had power everywhere so everthing should of worked, Found that the dimmer swicth was b stuck to the lowest setting.Could not turn it up. For now I put in a bye pass wire to make it work. Hope this helps.
