Dead
my koop died about three days ago. my exhaust valves in cylinder 2 decided they didnt want to be part of the head anymore. i was planning on driving to arkansas but as things normally go, this problem happend the night before. im kinda thankful because im not stuck somewhere far from both nj and ar. my problem however is now i am stuck in nj with two vehicles that have basically the same problems. my chevy s10's motor is garbage. im gonna try to replace it. i bought a stock 2.2L for it and hopefully i can throw it in there and have a decent enough DD. i do have a question, how can i store my koop and keep it decent while im saving money for a swap. i want to keep the tires nice because i just bought them a week ago (falken ZE912, stock sized, very nice), like should i keep weight off of them and keep the car on jack stands? i also am unsure as to whether or not i should drain my cooling system, oil, and or gas. does that stuff kill your chassis when it sits for a year or possibly two while i save cash? my koop is going to be sitting in my parents garage in NJ while im at school and saving some dough.
question #2 is... for a person that isn't too experienced in turbo machines, like myself, which engine swap is more friendly? the RB20/25 or an SR? i know how everything works in theory, but ive never owned a turbo car before so i dont know everything. i have a bit of experience in evo MR's tho, but no nissan. id really like an RB swap because i love the way inline 6's sound, but an SR is still a great swap and aftermarket is better i think. i know i'll be flamed a bit for this question set, but i have researched. im just looking for someone to steer me one way or the other. i need to make up my mind and save money for one of these swaps.
for now, project broke b*tch will stay in NJ and i will be pissed that im not driving a 240sx.

yes put the car on jack stands and dont let the tires touch the ground or u can just take the wheels off and keep it on jack stands also put the jack stands on the suspension no the chassis to keep the suspension loaded.
also there is a chemical that you put in gas to make it last longer w/o going bad they sell it at any autoparts store. as for anything else you should be ok just put a car cover on it if its going to be outside.
now as for an engine the SR is by far the easiest to swap the RB20 is second easiest and RB25 is when it gets complicated.
just remember it will be easier to find SR parts then RB20 parts when things break in.

um...u do want to consider draining all the fluids. Coolant can cause electrolysis between dissimilar metals. And since all oils have a shelf life, the fluid in the transmission and differential will eventually sludge up, and then ur screw-wed...
yeah the SR is without a doubt the easiest swap, almost no custom work at all if any...I too love the sound of the RB, but that's not going to go into my S14, it's going to go into my D21 when I finally get one. My S14 is going to be >CALI<-street legal with a VQ
