dumb question

okay, i am selling my 5 lug hubs and spindles, and i got everything off fine, i jsut cant figure out how to remove the damn rotors. i know they haev a 30 mm nut with a cotter pin, (front rotors), but thats under a little cap thingy, and i cant figure out how to get that off... lol.
so basically, how do you get the rotor cap thing off?

^^^ i don't know what your asking. The rotors aren't attached to anything. They just slide off of the studs. The 30mm/cotter pin is for the hubs.

i think you're talking about the hub. if so they should just pop out when you remove the nut but the bearing will also come apart.

i don't see a rotor there.
if in fact it is the rotor you need to remove it comes off when you take the lug nuts off.

i was looking at the hub "cap" thingy, and you can see it with the rotors on. and i couldnt get the rotors off, so i figured the cap had to be removed. so the fronts just come right off too..? my rears practically fell off... these are stuck.

sometimes the rotors get a little rusty. you may need to use a rubber mallet for some extra force.

Use a mallet to get the rotors off, it's that simple

Try some penetrating oil and then a rubber mallet, probably just pulling at an odd angle so they wont come straight off.

There should be two holes on the rotor where you can screw in two bolts. The bolts will push against the hub and the rotors will come off. These holes are there for removing rusted and stuck on rotors. If your rotors don't have these holes tap then with a rubber mallet from behind after spraying the back with some rust penetrater.

^^ I was just about to say use two screws in the smaller holes and the rotor will pop right off.
